"One of us...again"

Films: The Mutations (1974)

Alias: Various, most notably the Venus Flytrap man

Type: Mutant

Location: Civilized area

Height/Weight: Ranges from half to fully that of an average human.

Affiliation: Neutral, leaning on Good

Summary: You remember "Freaks", right? You better, by the way. If you do already, then you should know what to expect from this scientific take on the whole thing.

History: Professor Nolter was obsessed with one thing: create the perfect blend between man and plant. Unfortunately, all of the college students he used keep giving us misshapen people and/or horrific plant monsters. He gives the former to a sideshow.

Notable Kills: See Final Fate.

Final Fate: Before Nolter can engage in another experiment on a woman, his misshapen assistant is assaulted by the angry freaks and torn apart by hounds, while he is attacked by his very angry Venus Flytrap man, who ensnares him in his plant-maw, partially digests him, and lets he and his creator get engulfed in flames.

Powers/Abilities: None

Weakness: Anything conventional.

Scariness Factor: 3-These guys have a bit fewer scruples than those circus freaks, but can you really blame them? As for the green star of the attraction? Very creative, yes, but a bit too flappy for our tastes.

Trivia: -One of the freaks was played by Willie Ingram. This man, named Popeye on stage, was known for being able to bug his eyes out at an obscene rate.

-Nolter was originally going to be played by Vincent Price, but his agent kept getting in the way.

Yeah, they have standards and aren't even that evil. Get that through your head.

You're not a freak. You're just mean.
No wonder he's violent. His head's a berry.

Not a creation. We just wanted to give him a chance to shine.
Aw, c'mon. Us against them? Way to shoot your message.

Let nature run its course, doctor.
